Thailand is not just famous for seafood and typical spicy Thai food. In fact, the country also famous for its amulets. You will be amazed to know that there are more than hundreds and thousands of varieties when it comes to amulets in Thailand.
Moreover, if you ever think
that amulets are produced by manufacturers, then you probably don’t know about
this countries culture. The Buddhist community in Thailand is always sensitive
to their religious artifacts. Due to this, the holy amulets are made by
Buddhist temples.
In Thailand, amulets are
usually made using buddha images and/or by craving designs to make it look like
the buddha. Although, now there are many Buddhist temples that have recently
added few more amulets of famous monks like lp toh.

know.
- Phra Somdej
Phra somdej is considered
to be the best amulet for luck. One of the most famous examples of Phra Somdej
is lp toh rian. They all have one thing that
is common is that these amulets come with a small hook at the topmost part for
hanging upon something.
Sometimes, this type of
amulet is also used to award someone (especially the brave military soldiers)
to wish them good luck in their upcoming task.
- Phra Pidta
Phra pidta in the native
Thai language refers to a Buddhist monk who is meditating with his eyes closed
or covered with hands. These amulets are built by following special producers
and religious norms.
